How To Get Your Baby to Swallow Medicine: Blow On His/Her face
This is a really quick tip. I can’t find any information online to verify the validity of this procedure. I also don’t really understand why it happens.
We heard about this technique several years ago from a friend of ours. She told us that if you want to get your baby to swallow her medicine after squirting it into her mouth then blow on her face. This will cause the baby to close her mouth as a reaction and swallow. Don’t squirt the whole dose at one time . Instead, break it up into two or three doses and blow on the infant’s face after each dose.
This procedure should work with younger babies under 4 months before they begin to eat solids.

Cool trick, I did this when she didn’t want to eat her food. Blow on her face then when she smiles you sneak the spoon in 🙂 Isn’t parenting great 🙂 lol
That’s so funny! My husband does that to the baby when he’s washing her hair. It makes her hold her breath when he’s rinsing.
Thank you for sharing this with the Carnival of Family Life!
Rad, thats a good idea. I guess that works once they start eating solids.
Kailani, thats also a good tip.
Wow so many things you could do with blowing on your baby’s face.
