Looking To Buy A Stroller For A Good Price? Try eBay
After we had our twins we were on the hunt for a really good double stroller that could handle hills, bumpy terrain and snow, lots of it. We heard really great things about the Valco stroller so we decided to go ahead with researching the fine details and try to find one for a great price.
We decided on the relatively new Valco Baby Twin Runabout Trimode stroller (wow that’s a mouthful). Since the model was so new no one was selling any used ones on Craigslist. So that left us with buying a new one. Valco strollers are expensive and if you are planning to buy a new one expect to pay over $650 (including shipping) for one.
After doing several searches on the web and discovering that every online retailer is charging the same price for a Valco I decided to check out eBay.
As it turned out, a store was auctioning off the exact same model we were interested in with a starting bid of about $50 and with no reserve price. No reserve price means that there is no minimum price for winning an item on ebay. The highest bidder wins at the end of the auction regardless.
In the case of the Valco, we won the auction at $515. That’s savings of about $85. This was 8 months ago. Just a few days ago I was checking out a shopping website and discovered that these Valco Baby Twin Runabout Tri mode stroller no reserve auctions were still taking place on eBay.
So before you decide on paying the full retail price (even from another online retailer that offers free shipping) for your next baby stroller check out eBay first and maybe you’ll save too.
Here is a list of No Reserve auctions for some of the popular strollers on the market today. These are actual auctions taking place on eBay.com. The prices are listed in real time and the auctions are sorted by end date.

My neighbor also got a stroller for a really good price on ebay. I dont remeber if it was new or slightly damaged by it was definitely cheaper than anywhere where we live.

Interesting post. Question, how did you get the eBay listings in your post like that? Also, when I search for strollers on ebay I get crazy list of like 2000 items. How do you arrange it to only get the amount you have? Even if I look for just auctions and not the buy it now stuff I get lots of items.

I can’t recommend the InStep double jogger enough. I have beat the hell out of mine and it just keeps on going. And it’s made by Schwinn.

Check out craigslist for baby stuff. My wife and I like it better than eBay because you are supporting local people, and the prices are negotiable (usually).
